Man who fled to Mexico after Tracy killing sentenced to life in prison

A man was sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison for the first-degree premeditated murder of 18-year-old Andrea Cervantes Alejandre, the office of San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas announced on Monday.

Antonio Flores-Cuellar entered a no-contest plea before being sentenced by Judge Northup on April 10, prosecutors said.

Tracy police discovered Alejandre’s body on June 22, 2019, at an apartment on Carlton Way with an 8-inch fixed-blade knife in her neck, officials noted.

Authorities said Flores-Cuellar fled to Mexico after the killing but was located and extradited back to the United States in 2024…
