The California-based luthier Gary Vessel has been admitted to the hospital following a severe stroke, and his family has launched a fundraising campaign to help with the cost of his recovery. According to his son, Dylan, Vessel is lucky to be alive — and will require “intensive rehabilitation, long-term therapy, and full-time support.”
