PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — Two students from the Sacramento region will take their spelling intelligence and put it to the ultimate test at the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
Shruthi Srinivasan, a sixth grader at Rocklin Academy Turnstone, and Ryan Sekera, a fifth grader at Ridgeview Elementary School in Granite Bay, will represent Northern California in a week-long national spelling competition against 243 spellers from across the country.
