TRACY, Calif. — One year after the fast-moving Corral Fire scorched more than 14,000 acres near Tracy, destroyed a home and injured two firefighters, community leaders gathered Thursday to honor the first responders who helped prevent a far greater disaster.
At South San Joaquin County Fire Authority’s Station 95, applause broke out as Rep. Josh Harder (D-Tracy) thanked the roughly 500 firefighters and emergency personnel who battled the flames and protected lives and property.
