Founded in 2004, staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to save the lives of stray, abandoned, and relinquished animals in our communities. Through the years we’ve formed a deep bond with the communities we serve, hosting and participating in community events, speaking to local civic groups, and visiting local schools, to talk about the life saving work we do as a non-profit, No Kill, rescue.
In 2021, after ten years of planning, fundraising, and constructions, PALS moved into our new facility, PALS Haven. A few months later, we undertook moving the old modular building that had served as our facility out to our new location, and started raising funds to renovate it, with the goal of turning it into our community outreach and education center. The renovation revitalized our old building, and we would soon be hosting guest lectures, volunteer appreciation events, and sales events.
In the Summer of 2024, we realized the goal of using our renovated center for educational purposes when we held our first ever PALS Haven Furry Friends Kids Camp! Run by retired educational professionals, the camp mixed educational activities, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences with some of the cats and dogs we’ve rescued. Our second year promises to bring that same mix of fun educational activities, guest speakers and demonstrations, and hands-on animal care and education to 3rd -6th grade students. Don’t miss out on this unique summer camp starting July 14-July 18 from 9:00am-1:00pm, sign your kids up for the PALS Haven Furry Friends Kids Camp, today!
