Antioch Man Charged with Attempted Homicide in Oakley Shooting After Social Media Dispute

Oakley, CA, has been grappling with the fallout from a shooting that transpired last Friday. After a weekend of investigation, Derrick Page, a 35-year-old resident of Antioch, has been pinpointed as the suspect responsible for the Macadamia Lane shooting that left a 40-year-old male victim injured. According to details released by the City of Oakley, the altercation appears to be the result of an ongoing argument between Page and the victim that unfolded on social media. The incident reached its zenith when the victim, after arriving at the suspect’s girlfriend’s house, was met with gunfire as he attempted to flee, sustaining at least one gunshot wound to his back.
