(KRON) — A driver was seriously injured Monday after their vehicle was struck by an Amtrak train in Oakley, according to officials.
Authorities responded just after 7 p.m. to the railroad tracks on East Cypress Road near Main Street. The driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant, was life-flighted from the scene with critical injuries, the City of Oakley told KRON4. There were no known injuries to passengers on board the Amtrak train.
The driver’s condition is unknown as of Tuesday morning.
