Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expanding rapidly, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Katushas’ Vineyard is on Schmiedt Lane in Lodi and was planted in 1915.
Bright crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, citrus, baking spices and flowers. Light to medium body with medium acidity. Light and elegant fruits. Strawberry, cranberry, blood orange and pepper on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Charming Zinfandel made in a lighter style that is immensely appealing. Best over the next several years…
