The cherished fiberglass dinosaur mascot taken from a Brentwood gas station last week has been safely returned — along with an apology.

The 50-pound green statue, affectionately known as “Claire,” disappeared from the Sinclair gas station at 13060 San Vicente Boulevard in the early morning hours of Sept. 27.
