On October 23, 2025, State Superintendent Tony Thurmond announced that Elkhorn School, a K-8 school in the Lodi Unified School District, is one of 31 schools named as 2025 California Blue Ribbon Schools. The award recognizes schools for closing achievement and opportunity gaps and for strong academic performance among all student groups.
