After spotting an illegal dumping site on Google Earth, a man from Tracy, California took it upon himself to clean the entire area solo — a massive effort so impressive that even Google Earth updated its satellite images to reflect the transformation.

A Cleanup So Big Google Earth Took Notice

The man, known online as “Pengweather,” discovered the massive dumpsite in December 2024, where heaps of trash covered a stretch of land near a paved road. Disturbed by what he saw, he decided to do something most people wouldn’t — clean it up himself.

Over two days, armed with determination and more than 100 garbage bags, he transformed the site into a spotless, green space.
