(KRON) – Livermore Animal Services rescued two kittens inside car engines in recent weeks, according to the Livermore Police Department.
On Oct. 20, LPD reported that a driver spotted a kitten struggling along the freeway wall. When the driver stopped to help, the kitten jumped up into the engine compartment to hide.

An officer was able to coax the animal out of the engine compartment after an hour and named the kitten “Chevron,” according to LPD.
On Nov. 21, an officer responded to a report of the sounds of a kitten meowing inside a driver’s car. LPD reported that the officer discovered a kitten wedged inside the vehicle’s engine compartment and was able to safely extract the animal.
The kitten was transported to the SPCA in Dublin and named “Techron,” the LPD said…
