Antioch ‘TikTok cop’ nabbed by real officer

(KRON) — A “TikTok cop” was busted on A Street in Antioch while he was pulling another car over using fake police lights, according to the Antioch Police Department.

“TikTok cops will not be tolerated in Antioch. Impersonating the police is a crime. This weekend, Officer Yega and his K9 partner Loki were traveling on A Street when they spotted a red pickup truck equipped with police-style lights pulling cars over. The self-appointed ‘officer’ was a bit shocked when the real police showed up,” ADP wrote Thursday.

Officer Yega’s body worn camera recorded the driver explaining that he got the idea from TikTok, and claimed he had no idea he wasn’t allowed to pull people over. When the officer asked the man why he activated his truck’s fake police lights behind another vehicle, the truck driver answered, “The guy cut me off.”…
