The City of Modesto, California, has received recognition from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its financial management. On December 8, 2025, the city announced it had received three awards for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
Modesto received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. The city also received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting, which recognizes clear and accessible financial summaries for the public.
