Red Kettle Challenge Keeps Donations Local in Lodi
Folsom-area residents can back The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Challenge this weekend as Lodi rings to support local families in need.
The Salvation Army of Lodi will join the National Commander’s Red Kettle Challenge on Saturday, December 13. The coast-to-coast fundraiser, issued by Commissioner Merle Heatwole, calls on officers, volunteers and supporters to see who can raise the most in one day, with every dollar in Lodi staying in the community.
Ringing Bells at Lodi Walmart
Major Richard Pease, corps officer in Lodi, will ring bells at the Lodi Walmart, 1601 S Lower Sacramento Road, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. He aims to rally shoppers to give generously during the holiday season and beyond.
“We’ve seen what Lodi can do when we come together,” Major Pease said. With rising needs, he says the National Commander’s Red Kettle Challenge offers a powerful chance for the community to “help enhance our impact even further.”…
