Modesto residents are warned to monitor their credit card and Apple Pay accounts after reports of unauthorized micro-charges. The Modesto Police Department says charges of $1 to $2, labeled “City of Modesto Compost,” have appeared despite no connection to city services. Police caution that these small charges may precede larger fraud.
