Authorities say Stockton family were key distributers in heroin operation supplying Yuba-Sutter region

YUBA COUNTY, Calif. — Three Stockton residents have pleaded guilty in a drug trafficking case stemming from a multi-agency investigation led by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, authorities said.

Officials said the investigation targeted a heroin trafficking operation that supplied drugs throughout Northern California, including the Yuba-Sutter region. It began in September 2022 and focused on Alberto Ojeda Lopez, 69; his wife, Maria Medina Silvas, 66; and their daughter, Alecsa Ojeda de Oregel, 44.

According to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, investigators identified the family as key participants in a drug distribution network operating out of their Stockton home.
