On Sunday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to the Town of Discovery Bay for a report of a drowning.
The incident began just before 1:30 pm near the 5700 block of Marlin Drive. It was reported that a 21-year-old male on a jet ski flipped and was in the water while not wearing a life jacket. At the time the call came in, he was last seen around 1:15 pm while wearing a blue shirt. A drone was requested as part of the response, which was reportedly coming from CHP in American Canyon.
Contra Costa County Fire responded by 1:45 pm had a rescue swimmer in the water. A CHP helicopter along with US Coast Guard also responded. At one point during the rescue, as many as 5 rescue swimmers were in the water searching along with a boat…
