STOCKTON, Calif. — A driver accused of racing through Stockton streets and crashing into a pedestrian at Stockton College campus has pleaded guilty.
The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office said Jamaraqui Burks pled guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter in a crash that killed Jazmine Floris at San Joaquin Delta College in October 2024.
Prosecutors said Burks was in a 2018 Tesla Model X and appeared to be racing a Dodge Challenger.
