(FOX40.COM) — Two Stockton police officers involved in a fatal shooting when responding to a violent incident at a hotel in 2023 will not face criminal charges.
The man killed, Jory Jamarr Lester, was shot by officer Marcos Alonso after pulling out what appeared to be a gun from his pants on the night of Sept. 11, 2023, and pointing it at officers, according to a report released by the California Department of Justice.
