Syracuse, N.Y. — I hit the Taste of Syracuse with the goal of finding the spiciest bites to send my weekend into orbit. But it was hard to find anything with enough fire to get me off the launch pad.
Look, I get it. Food festivals as a rule aren’t known for truly spicy fare. Spicy scares away the normies.
Most people want food smothered in cheese. Deep fried starch. Lots of sugar, too. And wine slushies to wash it all down…
