Upstate New York Gets Its Own Off-Road Motorcycle Route. The Adirondacks Are Calling

Upstate New York is an amazing place to ride a motorcycle. Expansive valleys are lined with rivers and bookended by beautiful lakes. The Adirondack Park in northern New York State, in particular, offers spectacular scenery, occupies more than six-million acres, and is the largest publicly protected area in the contiguous United States.

So, if you’re looking to explore this part of the Empire State, the team from Backcountry Discovery Routes just released the Adirondacks BDR-X, a 700-mile adventure route looping Adirondack Park.

The route was designed to incorporate approximately 50% pavement, while the other half is made up of lightly-maintained seasonal roads, as well as the occasional rocky, sandy, or muddy backroad, depending on the season…
