Syracuse, N.Y. – Construction has started on 261 apartments for low- and moderate-income tenants at the former Syracuse Developmental Center site.
Demolition of the 600,000-square-foot SDC site began in 2024 and was completed last year. In its place, workers are building apartments that will include studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
