NEDROW, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Onondaga Central School District Board of Education has named its next superintendent.
After a five-month search and a wide range of input from stakeholders, the board announced in a statement that Robert S. Montgomery would be the district’s next superintendent in line.
Since July 2024, Montgomery has been an assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction, data, and assessment at the neighboring Marcellus Central School District.
He previously served as principal for K.C. Hefferman Elementary School under a seven-year tenure. As a principal, the district said Montgomery developed a reputation for upholding obscure promises ranging from “sleeping on the school roof” to “kissing a frog,” whenever students reached major reading milestones…
