Police find no evidence of gunfire after Salina standoff, search of home

Salina, N.Y. — A report of gunfire in a Salina home that prompted a large police presence and lockouts at two Liverpool schools Tuesday turned out to be unfounded, deputies said.

There was no evidence of a firearm or gunfire after deputies responded to the home at 102 N. Lincoln Ave. around 1:50 p.m., according to Thomas Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

A neighbor reported hearing arguing from the home before hearing one shot fired, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches…
