SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Thursday was a very active weather day. As early as Wednesday evening our Weather Authority team was looking ahead and anticipating the chance for severe storms, some of which had the potential to feature some spin that may lead to a tornado warning in a few areas.
This certainly was the case as we had a few tornado warnings between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday across parts of the Finger Lakes, Tompkins, Cortland, Chenango and Otsego Counties.
