SYRACUSE, N.Y. — What a nice weekend weatherwise! Both days featured some sun out, clouds and comfortable high temps in the low to mid 70s.
Now Monday will be a completely different type of weather day with an overcast sky, rain moving in, light, steady, heavy, rumbles of thunder, an easterly breeze and highs only in the low to mid 60s.
Some locations may end up closer to the upper 50s or near 60 for a high! That’s chilly or just down right cold for late June!
The reason for this changeup of weather compared to the weekend is a new area of low pressure sliding towards the Northeast overnight and into the start of Monday.
This new system caused heavy rain for places like Chicago and Des Moines on Sunday. Look at the 5 p.m. eastern time temperatures for those two cities: 65 and 63 respectively…
