Village of Central Square, N.Y. — The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office has announced the death of a Village of Central Square woman after a horrific accident on Saturday night, June 27.
Deputies say around 6:45 p.m., a 2016 Ram 2500 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on East Ave when the enclosed trailer it was towing became detached from the truck and struck a pedestrian who was traveling westbound on East Ave and crossing the intersection with Gertrude Drive. The pedestrian, identified as Alice Visneau, was on a motorized mobility scooter when she was struck.
Deputies say Alice was transported to Upstate Hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was 62 years old and a resident of Central Square. The pickup truck was being operated for Big Kahuna Rentals Inc. and driven by Xavier Izyk, 21 of Fulton, NY…
