Syracuse dedicates new public safety building to fallen police officer, firefighter

The city of Syracuse marked the opening of its new public safety headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

The building, which is located on West Fayette Street, is named after fallen Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen and fallen firefighter Ethan Cunningham.

“It feels good just seeing his name up there and knowing it’s always going to be here,” said Ethaniel Cunningham, son of the lost firefighter. “And that we can drive down this street close to where we grew up on the west side of Syracuse and see that is an amazing feeling.”…
