SYRACUSE, N.Y. — This holiday weekend will feature many hours where it will not be raining, but there will be a few bumps in the nice weather road at times.
Here’s a look at the current heat alerts in our area:
We cannot stress heat safety and what symptoms to look out for with your kids, grandkids, parents, grandparents, in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews:
The severe threat from Wednesday was lower on Thursday, but will be going back up again for Friday.

For the holiday itself when you wake up Saturday morning it may be raining for a bit wherever you are, however patience is a virtue and I’m expecting any rain or thunder from sunrise through 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon to be out of the area.
Some sun will be coming out and it will still feel hot and humid, just not as extreme as the past few days have been.
Fireworks weather Saturday evening between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. looks pretty good as of now. Skies will be clear to partly cloudy, it will be warm out, a bit humid, a light breeze and mostly a clean looking radar which is ideal for any fireworks displays in the area.
