SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A man was arrested Thursday morning after he was found sleeping the wheel in the middle of an active construction zone.
According to New York State Police, a construction zone safety coordinator saw a 2018 Toyota Highlander stopped in the middle of a driving lane in a construction zone just after midnight. After attempting to wake the sleeping driver, the driver’s phone went off and he drove away. Troopers found the car a short distance later and pulled over Christopher Jones, 54, of Syracuse.
