A Heat Advisory has been issued for much of New York, including Oneida, Herkimer, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, Montgomery, Fulton, Lewis, Jefferson, and dozens of other counties.
The advisory is in effect Tuesday, July 14, from 11 a.m. through Wednesday, July 15, at 9 p.m.
Forecasters say temperatures combined with high humidity could make it feel as hot as 104 degrees, creating dangerous conditions that can quickly lead to heat-related illnesses.
