SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Syracuse Fire Department responded to a house fire around 7 p.m. on Friday on the 200 block of Beattie Street, in the Salt Springs neighborhood.
The department said they saw smoke coming from the roof of the two-and-a-half story house when they got to the scene. They then saw a fire in a second-floor bedroom and began to put it out.
Crews got the flames under control in ten minutes, and the fire was declared completely out ten minutes later. The house was under renovation at the time of the fire.
