Syracuse Fox affiliate WSYT goes dark on Verizon Fios TV over fee dispute

Deltavision Media, a small Jackson, Mississippi-based media company that bought WSYT in 2025, pulled its programming from Verizon after the two companies failed to reach a new retransmission agreement before their previous deal expired Thursday.

In a statement to syracuse.com | The Post-Standard, Verizon said Deltavision has been demanding “extreme” rate increases for the rights to carry its programming.

“Verizon negotiated in good faith to reach a fair compromise before the July 30, 2026, agreement expiration date,” the company said. “Unfortunately, Deltavision Media continues to insist on extreme rate increases. We refuse to accept unreasonable terms that would result in higher monthly TV bills for our customers.”…
