An owl found tangled in a fishing line last month has been released back into the wild.
Woodhaven Wildlife Center members rescued a barred owl in July that was tangled in fishing line, dangling 20 feet above a reservoir with a lure hooked in his wing. With muscle and tissue damage, the animal was taken to Cornell for treatment and then brought back to Woodhaven.
