Developers plan to convert Popcorn Supply building in Syracuse into 36 apartments

Syracuse, N.Y. — A vacant Syacuse factory recognizable for its “Popcorn Supply Co.” mural visible from Interstate 690 will be transformed into dozens of apartments.

A group of local developers is partnering on a $9.9 million project that would result in 36 apartments — 28 one-bedroom and eight studio units — at the historic four-story brick building at 842 W. Belden Ave. The building’s amenities would include fitness space, an outdoor patio and tenant storage units.

The building is listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places, a designation achieved in the past year as part of the project’s financing effort…
