Syracuse, N.Y. — New forecasts show that the risk of rainfall heavy enough to cause flooding this week has now zeroed in on Central New York.
An area roughly bounded by Binghamton, Syracuse, Lowville and Albany could get torrential rain Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. The heaviest rain is expected overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
