Syracuse woman’s 2024 homicide remains unsolved

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse woman found dead in her home in the summer of 2024 remains the city’s only unsolved homicide from that year.

Angelina Huyck, 30, was found dead on July 30, 2024 inside her home in the 200 block of Hopper Road after Syracuse officers were called there for a welfare check.

Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick later said Huyck died from asphyxiation, or a loss of oxygen, and her death was ruled a homicide…
