Lenox man faces charges after drug-related crash sets home ablaze

LEXOX, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home around 12:06 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, in the Town of Lenox for a car fire and house fire after the car hit the home.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a red Toyota RAV4 in the front yard of the home that was fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread from the car to the residence on the 8200 block of N Court St.

After making contact with the owners of the home, it was learned that the driver of the car — later identified as 22-year-old Hayden Jones of Lenox — was inside the home. Jones was removed from the rear deck by patrol units. Jones was then taken to a Syracuse-area hospital to be treated for thermal injuries from the fire…
