U.S. Military servicemember becomes citizen: ‘I want to enjoy America’

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A dozen people from 11 countries became United States citizens Thursday during a naturalization ceremony at the James M. Hanley Federal Courthouse in Syracuse.

With their right hands raised, the group took the oath of allegiance, marking the end of a process that for some took years.
