Viewer Question: When will the new Mexican restaurant open inside the former Hometown Diner in Bridgeport?
Mi Rancho Alegre is about to open its second location in Onondaga County and fifth overall in New York State.
We first told you last fall that the family-owned business is opening inside the former Hometown Diner, off Route 31. Most recently, it was the Traveling Gnome Diner, which closed in April of 2025.
The building underwent a major exterior facelift, including a new concrete patio for outside dining.
