DeWitt, N.Y. — The town of Dewitt voted unanimously Monday night to enact a new law prohibiting short-term rentals such as AirBnBs in all residential zones.
The new law takes effect Jan. 1, 2027. Existing short-term rental owners can honor reservations until that date, although they are encouraged to cease operations immediately, said DeWitt Town Supervisor Max Ruckdeschel.
