After less than a year in business and weeks after a lawsuit was filed claiming they broke their franchise agreement, the Haraz Coffee House on Marshall Street has closed.
The Yemeni coffee shop opened in the former Shirt World location in mid-December 2025 with a flashy makeover of 125 Marshall St. Haraz, a national chain, changed the look and feel of central Marshall Street with a modern wood facade and a bank of black sliding glass doors, replacing the faded cedar shingles and orange and blue awning of Shirt World.
The Marshall Street coffee shop, which served drinks and pastries, closed some time in the last week, according to several nearby business owners. As of Tuesday, all outside signage had been removed and the location was dark. A Google listing says it is “permanently closed.”…
