Syracuse Police arrest two: Found with Glock and driving without licenses

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Two Syracuse Police officers stopped a Toyota Camry on Sunday, Jan. 21, around 9:13 p.m. at the 1100 block of Midland Avenue for driving without tail lights.

Sheriff’s Office says teens stole the Hyundai that they crashed on Summit Ave.

Officers Millet and Reynolds found that the driver of the car only had their permit and didn’t have a license.

The two were asked to step out of the car while the officers searched it.

Syracuse Police say that during the search, Officer Millet located a semi-automatic Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun underneath the driver’s seat. The barrel and trigger were partially concealed with a black sock.

There was one live round in the chamber of the handgun and more in the magazine.

Police identified the driver as 22-year-old Tanisha Pizzaro and the passenger as 22-year-old Emanuel Laureano.

They were both charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm
