Suspect accused of shooting pregnant woman pleads not guilty

Syracuse, NY – The suspect accused of shooting 26-year-old Apreona Harris pleaded not guilty to second-degree attempted murder charges Thursday. On December 15th, Harris was shot in the head near the Rescue Mission of Syracuse. She was later taken off life support in the hospital, but her baby boy was delivered safely. Doctors are awaiting the results of a paternity test to see if the shooting suspect, 34-year-old David Kirby III, is the father.
