My middle schoolers are in trouble. They need more from adults in their lives (Guest Opinion by Ryan Burdick)

Ryan Burdick is an eighth-grade teacher in the Baldwinsville school district. Middle schoolers have always been weird. But they’re getting weirder, and not in good ways. I’ve taught eighth grade for 13 years. They’re my people – silly, impulsive, awkward, self-obsessed, quick to humor. I love them. And I’m really worried about them.
