Sunny day in Syracuse starts fire inside liquor store

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Syracuse liquor store caught fire Sunday after sunlight streaming through glass containers ignited cardboard inside the store, firefighters said. As the flames intensified, a window at Geddes Liquor and Wine at 1021 W. Genesee St. broke, setting off the burglary alarm and alerting police, firefighters said.
