Fredonia Resident Retires from New York Air National Guard

A Fredonia native who served in the military for more than two decades recently retired from the New York Air National Guard’s 174th Attack Wing. Chief Master Sergeant Jonathan Brooks was honored during a ceremony in early December at the Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse. Brooks has more than 21 years in the Air Force and had been with the 174th Attack Wing for the last four years. He has logged more than 3,800 flight hours, with over 3,600 being combat hours.
