Man sentenced for shooting man and leaving him in trunk; “It’s in God’s hands.”

Syracuse, N.Y. – A man sentenced Tuesday for shooting a man and leaving him in a car trunk said very little at his sentencing but did apologize to the dead man’s family. “I’m regretful for what happened,” said Gamalier Lacen-Medina, 44, through an interpreter. Lacen-Medina was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the killing of Edwin DeJesus, 40.
