Syracuse man shot while waiting to pick up his daughters, ADA says as murder trial begins

Syracuse, N.Y. — A murder trial began Wednesday for a Syracuse man accused of ambushing another man while waiting he was to pick up his daughters from a birthday party. Jaquell L. Bailey is accused of working with Lionel Brown to ambush and shoot Shakeale Hill, 29, as he waited in his pickup truck for his daughters to leave a birthday party on Dec. 18, 2021, prosecutor Anthony Copani said in his opening statement Wednesday.
